As part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized 5.5kg of suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of €110,000 today, Monday 23rd March 2026, in Dublin city centre.
The joint operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), DMR South Central Divisional Drug Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service.
The seized drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
A male (aged in his 30s) was arrested by An Garda Síochána in connection with the investigation, and is currently detained pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
