The man (20s) who was arrested in connection with the investigation into an alleged assault in Naas, Co Kildare on 15th March 2026, has been charged.
He is due to appear before Naas District Court on 18th March 2026 at 10:30am.

As part of the investigation into the serious assault which occurred on North Main Street, Naas, Co. Kildare on Sunday 15th March 2026, Gardaí have arrested a man this morning, Tuesday 17th March 2026. The man, aged in his 20s, is currently detained at a Garda Station in Co. Kildare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The male (30s) injured during this incident remains in Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Any persons who were in the vicinity of North Main Street, Naas, Co. Kildare between 02:20 and 3:00am on Sunday 15th March 2026 and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
