16/06/2026 Arrests and Court Appearance - Drug-Related Intimidation Investigation, Athlone, Co. Westmeath – 16th June 2026

As part of an investigation into drug-related intimidation, Gardaí from Athlone arrested an adult female (aged in her 60s), an adult male (aged in his 20s) and a male juvenile (aged in his teens) today, Tuesday 16th June 2026.

They were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 in a Garda Station in the Meath Westmeath Division.

They have since been charged in connection with this investigation and are due to appear before Longford District Court, this afternoon Tuesday 16th June 2026.

Investigations are ongoing.
