Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Ballynagrana, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, on Thursday 11th June 2026.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to report of the collision involving a car and a motorcycle, that occurred at approximately 4.45pm.
The driver of the motorcycle, a male (aged in his 30s) was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The coroner has been notified.
The male driver of the car (aged in his 40’s) was conveyed to Tipperary University Hospital as a precaution.
No other injuries were reported at the time.
The road is closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of Ballynagrana, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, between 4:00pm and 5:00pm on Thursday 11th June 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
