Gardaí attached to the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit, supported by Regional Units, conducted a search under warrant at two premises at Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick on Wednesday 10th June 2026 as part of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the region.
As a result of these searches, Gardaí seized suspected diamoprhine to the estimated street value of over €659,000, suspected cannabis to the estimated street value of over €114,000, alprazolam tablets to the estimated value of €47,000 as well as over €7,000 of suspected cocaine and 12 kilograms of suspected benzocaine.
Over €117,000 in cash was also seized, along with a vehicle and additional items.
A male in his 20s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Co. Limerick. He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
All drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis. All items seized will be subject to further technical examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
