Gardaí continue to investigate an alleged serious assault that occurred on Hawkins Street, Dublin 2 at approximately 12.20am on Sunday, 5th July 2026.

A man, aged in his 40s, who was arrested in connection with this investigation, has since been charged.

He is due to appear before Dublin District Court (Court No. 3) at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning Monday, 6th July 2026.

Investigations are ongoing.
