25/07/2026 Update (3) Court Appearance- Operation Targeting Dissident Republican Activity - N2, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, 22nd July 2026

Gardaí continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding a vehicle that was stopped travelling on the N2 south of Carrickmacross on Wednesday 22nd July 2026.

The male (aged in his 40s) who was arrested has since been charged in relation to this investigation.

The male is due to appear before the Special Criminal Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening, Saturday 25th July 2026 at the new time of 9:00pm.
