An Garda Síochána continues to make enquiries into the circumstances of the incident during which two members were hospitalised after becoming unwell whilst on duty on Wednesday 22nd July 2026, at Edenderry Garda station.
As previously stated, both members of An Garda Síochána have since been released from hospital.
An Garda Síochána continues to provide welfare support to the members as they recuperate, and to their families.
Further examination and specialist deep cleaning of Edenderry Garda Station has been completed.
Edenderry Garda Station has reopened for future operations as at 7am this morning, Friday 24th July 2026.
