An Garda Síochána continues to make enquiries into the circumstances of the incident during which two members were hospitalised after becoming unwell whilst on duty on Wednesday 22nd July 2026, at Edenderry Garda station.

Both members of An Garda Síochána have since been released from hospital.

An Garda Síochána continues to provide welfare support to the the members and their families.

Edenderry Garda Station remains closed.
