Gardaí continue to investigate a public order incident involving a male armed with a knife at an open carpark in Dundalk, Co. Louth on Monday 20th July 2026.

The male (aged in his 30s) who was arrested has since been charged in relation to this investigation.

The male is due to appear before Drogheda District Court this morning, Tuesday 21st July 2026 at 10:30am.

An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time.
