As part of the ongoing operation targeting motorcycle theft, Gardaí carried out a search operation in Ballymun, Dublin 11, this morning, Wednesday 1st July 2026.
The searches were conducted out by the Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit of the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NBCI) with assistance of members from the DMR North Division.
During the course of these searches approximately seven motorcycles and e-bikes were recovered with a number of these confirmed as stolen.
The bikes will be taken for further technical examination.
A man aged in his 30s has been arrested in connection with these searches. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in North Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
