Update 2: Operation Tara Arrests and Seizure of €310,600 Drugs, Bruree, Co. Limerick and Charleville, Co. Cork. 2nd January, 2026.

Gardaí continue to investigate the sale and supply of drugs in the Southern region, in relation to the seizure of €310,600 of suspected illegal drugs during searches in Bruree, Co. Limerick and Charleville, Co. Cork, on the evening of Friday 2nd January 2026.

The man (aged in his 40’s), arrested in connection with the investigation, has since been charged.

He is expected to appear before Limerick District Court this morning, Monday 5th January 2026 at approximately 10.30am.
