Update 1: Operation Tara Arrest and Seizure of Drugs €310,600 Drugs, Bruree, Co. Limerick and Charleville, Co. Cork. 2nd January, 2026.

Gardaí continue to investigate the sale and supply of drugs in the Southern region, in relation to the seizure of €310,600 of suspected illegal drugs during searches in Bruree, Co. Limerick and Charleville, Co. Cork, on the evening of Friday 2nd January 2026.

The woman, aged in her 30s arrested has since been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The male, aged in his 40s continues to be detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in the Co. Limerick area. Investigations ongoing.
