Today Wednesday 28th January 2026 as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Cork North West Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service, approximately 23.6 kilograms of suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of € 472,000 was seized in Co. Cork.
Two males (aged in their 30s), and one female (aged in her 20’s), were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in Garda Stations in County Cork.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
