Gardaí from the DMR South Central Crime Task Force have arrested a third individual as part of ongoing investigations targeting the activities of a criminal group following a series of incidents in the Dublin Region and across the County in 2025.
The investigation concerns over 40 incidents, including theft, deception and unauthorised taking of vehicles.
During an operation in County Carlow on 11th February 2026, a man in his 20s was arrested. He is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region.
Two other men, also in their 20s, who were previously arrested and charged as part of the investigation are currently before the courts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
