Gardaí in Finglas assisted by the Drug Unit, Crime North, Dublin Metropolitan Region West conducted an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in West Dublin on Monday 23rd February 2026. A domestic residence was searched and Gardaí discovered suspected drugs including ketamine worth €600,000, cannabis worth €40,000, cocaine worth €35,000 and €17,940 in cash. An adult male (aged in his 30s) was arrested and detained at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He has since been charged in connection with this investigation and has since appeared before Court. The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
