As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs across the Dublin Region, the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) seized cannabis herb valued at over €500,000 (analysis pending) during an operation on Saturday, 21st February 2026.
During the operation, a van was intercepted and stopped in the Swords area of North Dublin. Upon searching the vehicle, Gardaí discovered cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €500,000.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was arrested at the scene. He is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda station in the Dublin Region.
