Gardaí at Bray were alerted after an individual entered a business premises on Kilbride Lane wielding a weapon shortly after 3:00pm this afternoon Thursday 20th August, 2026. He also entered a second store on Herbert Road, Bray wielding a weapon.
He threatened staff at both locations before leaving after taking a number of items. The was no injuries reported in both incidents.
After a follow up search of the area, Gardaí arrested a man aged in his 40s and he was detained for questioning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Wicklow.
The man has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Bray District Court tomorrow morning Friday 21st August 2026.
