Gardaí attached to the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) supported by local Garda units in the DMR West arrested 4 men following a managed containment operation on the M50 and DMR West this morning Thursday 20th August, 2026.
At approximately 10.30am this morning, Gardaí conducted a managed containment operation when they stopped the vehicle and arrested four men, (three aged in 20s and one 40s) who are members of an organised burglary gang.
It is believed that this criminal group have used this car in a number of burglaries and similar incidents nationwide. The car, a 2006 Volvo S40, silver in colour was searched and a number of house breaking implements, gloves, face coverings etc were seized. The car was bearing false registration plates.
The four men were all arrested at scene and are currently detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Garda stations in the Dublin Region.
Gardaí are appealing to any persons who may have seen this vehicle in their area.
