19/08/2026 Court Appearance: An Garda Síochána (Garda Anti-Corruption Unit) Investigation in the Dublin Region. 19th August, 2026.

The Garda Anti-Corruption Unit has been carrying out an investigation into the activities of a particular Garda member based in the Dublin Region.

Since the start of this investigation one (1) member of An Garda Síochána has been suspended from duty.

The man aged in his 30s, a member of An Garda Síochána, has been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court Number 2 this morning Wednesday 19th August, 2026.

As this is an ongoing criminal investigation An Garda Síochána is making no further comment.
