Joint Operation – Gardaí and Revenue Seize €380,000 worth of Cannabis, One Arrest in Dublin, 23rd September 2025

Today, Tuesday 23rd September 2025, as part of an intelligence-led joint operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 19kgs of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €380,000 in Dublin.

This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) West by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Drug Unit Serious Crime South and Revenue’s Customs Service.

The drugs seized are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

One male (aged in his 40’s) was arrested by An Garda Síochána in connection with the investigation, and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin City area, pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
