Garda Trainee Recruitment Campaign September 2025 - “It's A Job Worth Doing”

The Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration Jim O’Callaghan TD and Justin Kelly, Commissioner of An Garda Síochána will announce a fresh recruitment drive for An Garda Síochána at the Garda Stand, National Ploughing Championships.

When: Tuesday 16th September 2025

Where: Garda Stand, National Ploughing Championships, Block 3, Row 15, Stand 291

Time: 2pm

Media intending to attend are asked to notify the Garda Press Office by 9pm, Monday 15th September by e-mailing pressoffice@garda.ie.

Over 2,000 Garda Trainees have entered the Garda College since the first Garda recruits, post-covid, entered the Garda College in December 2022.

Over 1,400 Probationer Gardaí have attested since recruitment recommenced and the first recruits, post-covid, entered the Garda College in December 2022.

Over 550 Garda recruits are currently undergoing the training programme at the Garda College.

Recruit classes are now entering the Garda College every 11 - 12 weeks.
