An Garda Síochána continues to investigate all the circumstances of a fatal incident that occurred today, 15th October 2025 at an emergency residential premises in Donaghmede, Dublin 13.
The scene remains preserved at this time for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau and Forensic Science Ireland. The body of the deceased juvenile has been removed to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is due to be conducted tomorrow by State Pathologist, Dr. Yvonne McCartney.
The results of the post-mortem examination will assist in determining the course of the investigation.
The second juvenile remains in a hospital in the Dublin Region for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. An Garda Síochána is not looking for any other person in relation to this incident at this time and is following a definite line of enquiry.
A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Coolock Garda station. A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has also been assigned to provide assistance, where required.
