Gardaí seize over €6,795 worth of drugs and drone in Clondalkin, Dublin, Friday 24th October 2025

Gardaí attached to the Ronanstown Detective Unit, Ronanstown Drug Unit and Operation Throwover have conducted an operation in Clondalkin, Dublin on Thursday 23rd October 2025 as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

A domestic residence was searched and as a result a drone along with a package wrapped for conveyance were seized. The package contained suspected cannabis with the estimated street value of over €2,300, suspected cocaine with the estimated street value of €675, suspected diamorphine with the estimated street value over €4,000 as well as a number of mobile phone devices and other items.

A male in his 50s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Dublin. He has since been released and a file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

The drone seized will be subject to further technical examination.

Investigations are ongoing.
