DCRT seize over €300,000 cash in operation targeting organised crime in Dublin City 15th October 2025

As part of an ongoing regional operation targeting an organised crime group involved in drug trafficking and money laundering in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR), the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) seized over €300,000 in cash during a search operation on Wednesday, 15th October 2025.
 
In the course of the operation, a number of residential properties in Dublin's North Inner City were searched. A total of €301,000 in cash was recovered from two of the properties, with €35,000 found at one address and €266,000 at another.

Three individuals were arrested, including a man in his 40s, a woman in her 30s, and a woman in her 60s. All three are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda stations in the city.
