Update: Arrests - Investigation into the Murder of William Delaney, Portlaoise, 2019

Gardaí in Portlaoise investigating the murder of William Delaney, who went missing on Wednesday 30th January, 2019, have arrested three people (two women and a man) today, Monday 24th November 2025, in connection with this investigation.

The women (aged in their 30’s and 50’s) and the man (aged in his 30’s) are currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at Garda Stations in the Midland and South Western regions.

Investigations are ongoing.
