UPDATE 4 – Arrests: Fire at Residential Property, Drogheda, 31st October 2025

Gardaí in Drogheda are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a fire at a residential property on George's Street in Drogheda, Co. Louth, which occurred on Friday, 31st October 2025. As part of this ongoing investigation, two further arrests have been made.

A man in his 20s was arrested in the west Dublin area on 17th November 2025. A second man, in his 40s, was arrested in the Drogheda area this morning, 18th November 2025. Both individuals are currently being detained at a Garda Station in Co. Louth under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information relating to this serious incident. Anyone who was in the George's Street area of Drogheda between 7.30pm and 8.20pm on Friday, 31st October 2025, or anyone with relevant information, is asked to contact Drogheda Garda Station on 041 9874200 or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.

To date, four individuals have been arrested in connection with this investigation. Two have been charged and are currently before the Courts.

Investigations are ongoing.
