Update (1) Witness Appeal – Serious Road Traffic Collision, Waterford, Co. Waterford - 16th November 2025

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving a car and an e-bike, which occurred on Cork Road (R680) in Waterford City at approximately 7:45pm on Sunday, 16th November 2025.

The cyclist, a male aged 18 years, who was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries has since died.

The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision come forward.

Any road users with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from the area at the time, are asked to provide it to investigating Gardaí.
