Gardaí in Cork continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a male aged in his 30’s following an incident in Hollyville, Hollyhill, Cork City, in the early hours of Sunday morning, 16th November 2025.
Shortly after 4.30am on Sunday, Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of a disturbance involving two individuals at Hollyville, Hollyhill, Cork City.
A male aged in his 30’s was conveyed to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A post-mortem examination has been completed, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
A male aged in his 50s continues to be detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda Station in the Co. Cork area.
Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Anyone with available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the vicinity of Hollyville, Hollyhill, Cork City, between 3.30am and 4.30am on Sunday morning, 16th November 2025, is asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
