Gardaí observed a vehicle acting suspiciously at Lisanisky, Mallow, Co. Cork while on duty last night, Tuesday 4th November 2025. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine along with three suspected firearms and ammunition.
A male in his 40s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Co. Cork. He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
Follow up searches are being conducted at a domestic residence in Cork city today, Wednesday 5th November 2025. The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit attended the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
