Operation Tara: Gardaí seize over €110.000 worth of suspected Cannabis in Dooradoyle, Limerick city, Thursday 27th November 2025

Gardaí attached to the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit have conducted an intelligence-led operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick city on Thursday 27th November 2025.

One domestic residence in Dooradoyle, Limerick city was searched, leading to the seizure of suspected cannabis to the estimated street value of over €110.000.

A woman in her 60s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Limerick city. She is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

Investigations are ongoing.
