As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Dublin’s Inner City area, Gardaí attached to the DMR North Central Drugs Unit from Store Street conducted a search of a vehicle in the Beaumont area of Dublin 9 in the early hours of 5th November 2025. During the search, Gardaí discovered a cache of firearms, firearm components, ammunition and drugs.
Among the items seized were a lever action rifle, a crossbow, two disassembled handguns, a silencer, an air pistol, 553 shotgun shells, various types of ammunition and three knives. Drugs seized at the scene included crack cocaine and cocaine with an estimated value of €2,000, diamorphine valued at approximately €500 and a small quantity of cannabis.
One adult male in his late teens was arrested and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region.
All firearms, ammunition, drugs seized will be subject to forensic and technical analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
