Joint Operation – Seizure of 30kg of Cannabis at Shannon Airport, Arrest - 12th November 2025

Gardaí arrested a man following a seizure of drugs at Shannon Airport, today Wednesday, 12th November 2025.

Revenue Customs Officers seized approximately 30kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of €600,000.

The man, aged in his 20s, who was arrested by Gardaí is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.

The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis. Investigations are ongoing.
