Witness Appeal - Serious Injury Road Traffic Collision, Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, 24th May 2025

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian, at Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, today, Saturday 24th May 2025.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of the collision, which occurred on the R702 at approximately 3pm.

The pedestrian (a woman aged in her 40’s) was conveyed to Wexford General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The male driver of the car (aged in his 20’s) received medical assessment at the scene.

No other injuries were reported at the time.

The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm today, Saturday 24th May 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
