Witness Appeal - Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. 24th May, 2025.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a Fatal Road Traffic collision that occurred at Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, on Saturday afternoon 24th May 2025.   

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of the collision involving a car and pedestrian, which occurred on the R702 at approximately 3pm.   

The pedestrian, aged in her late 20s was removed from the scene in a serious condition to Wexford General Hospital where she later passed away.   

The male driver of the car, aged in his 20s received medical assessment at the scene.    

The road was closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, but has now reopened.  

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.   

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm Saturday 24th May 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
