Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire to a car at Cartron Estate, Sligo, on Wednesday 21st May 2025.
At approximately 2:30am, Gardaí received a report of a parked car on fire. No injuries were reported.
The scene was preserved and a technical examination was carried out.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.
Any person, including road users and pedestrians, who was in the Cartron area of Sligo between 2am and 2:45am on 21st May and who observed any unusual activity, is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
Any road users or pedestrians who were travelling in the area during this time and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) are asked to make this available to Gardaí.
Gardaí are also appealing for information on any person with unexplained burns or who has presented for medical advice or treatment for burns since the early hours of 21st May.
