Gardaí continue to investigate a dangerous driving incident in which a van was driven at a Garda in Ardee, Co Louth, on Friday, 2nd May 2025.
Yesterday evening, Monday 5th May 2025, a man in his 40s was arrested in connection with this investigation. He is currently detained at a Garda station in the Eastern region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in Clonmore Estate area between 4:00am and 4:40am on the 2nd May 2025 are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
