Update (33) – Serious Public Disorder, Dublin City Centre, November 23rd, 2023

A female will appear before Court 1 in the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Wednesday the 7th of May, to be charged with Criminal Damage (Arson) to a Dublin Bus at O’Connell Street Lower on the 23rd November 2023.  

Separately, between Sunday 4th May 2025 and today Tuesday 6th May 2025 Gardaí in Store Street have arrested nine people in connection with the ongoing investigations into the serious public disorder events of 23rd November 2023, that occurred in Dublin city centre.  

Of the nine arrested, three were adult females, four were adult males and two were male juveniles.  

Two of the females were charged and released on station bail to appear in court at a later date.  

The two male juveniles were released pending the submission of files to the Director of the Youth Diversion Programme.  

The remaining were released without charge pending the submission of files to the DPP.  

To date, this brings to a total the number of people arrested/interviewed in relation to their alleged offending on the day/night to eighty five. Of those 85, 66 have been charged with offences.  

A total of twenty-four people have now been arrested as a result of the media appeal made to the public in November 2024.  

Investigations are ongoing.
