As part of an operation targeting the dangerous use of scrambler motorcycles in Sligo, Gardaí seized two motorcycles, €5,500 worth of cannabis and cocaine and two airsoft pistols on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.
Five residential properties in Sligo town were searched under warrant and Gardaí seized two scramblers; cannabis with estimated street value of €5,000 and cocaine valued at €500.
The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Two airsoft pistols were also seized and will be forwarded for a technical examination by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
A male juvenile was arrested and detained at a Garda Station in the Sligo/Leitrim Division under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He was subsequently released pending the preparation of a file for the Garda Youth Diversion Office.
