Operation Tara - €100,000 Cocaine Seized and Arrest, Killarney, Co. Kerry

As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí have seized approximately €100,000 worth of cocaine at a residence in Killarney, Co. Kerry.

Members attached to the Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit conducted a search of a residence in the town yesterday, Friday 2nd May 2025 as part of its intelligence-led work under Operation Tara to disrupt the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

During the course of this search, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000 was recovered.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.   One man aged in his 30s has been arrested in connection with this seizure. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the county.

Investigations are ongoing.
