Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal traffic incident in Tuam, Co. Galway, on Friday, 16th May 2025.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a single vehicle on a local road in Blackacre, Tuam.
The driver, a man in his 60s and the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found unresponsive at the scene. He was transported by ambulance to University Hospital Galway, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The road has been closed to facilitate a forensic examination by Garda Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place. The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have any information regarding the incident to come forward.
Road users with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings from the area at the time, are urged to share this material with Gardaí.
