Arrest – Accommodation Fraud, South Dublin, 9th May 2025

Gardaí from the Serious Crime Unit in Irishtown, Dublin investigating multiple reports of accommodation fraud arrested one male (20s) yesterday, Friday 9th May 2025.

The alleged incidents of fraud reported to Gardaí by injured parties are understood to have occurred in the South Dublin area over September and October, 2024.

The male was detained for questioning at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region.

He has since been released from Garda custody and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

This investigation is ongoing.
