Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Ballymun, Dublin 11, this morning, Saturday 28th June 2025.
At approximately 4:55am, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a road traffic incident involving a car and a pedestrian at Balbutcher Lane.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
The road is closed for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users or pedestrians who were in the vicinity of Balbutcher Lane and Balcurris Park areas of Ballymun, between 4:00am and 5:00am, and have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
