Witness Appeal - Death of a man in Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry - 30th July 2025

Gardaí continue to investigate all of the circumstances following the death of a man in Co. Kerry in the early hours of Wednesday, 30th July 2025.

At approximately 4:00am, Gardaí were notified of a male, aged in his 70s, that had been brought to University Hospital Kerry in Tralee having earlier been found unresponsive outside a premises on Church Street in Kilgarvan. He was subsequently pronounced deceased at the hospital.

A post-mortem examination has since been completed, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.

A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to provide support and information to the deceased’s family.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.

Any person, including road users and pedestrians, who were in the Church Street area between 12:00am (midnight) and 2:00am is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
