Seizure of €345,640 cash, and Arrest of Three (3) males at Drumcondra, Dublin 9 25th July 2025

Issue Date: 26/07/2025

As part of an operation targeting an organised crime group involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs and money laundering activities in the Dublin area, Gardaí have seized €345,640 cash following the search of a vehicle in Drumcondra, Dublin 9, on Friday the 25th July 2025.

The operation was carried out by the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) who searched three male passengers in the vehicle and their luggage and located and seized an estimated €345,640 cash.

Three males, aged in their 40s, were arrested by Gardaí and are currently being detained at Garda Stations in the Dublin Region.

Commenting on the investigation, Assistant Commissioner Paul Cleary, Dublin Metropolitan Region said "This significant seizure of cash not only removes ill-gotten gains from the hands of criminals, but also deprives them of money they would have used to fund further criminal activities and cause harm in our communities”.
