Witness Appeal – Serious Injury Road Traffic Collision, N22 Killarney, Co. Kerry – 12th December 2025

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Killarney, Co. Kerry, on Friday 12th December 2025.

At around 4:00pm, Gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and three other vehicles on the N22 at Lissivigeen.

The motorcyclist, a male in his late teens, was brought by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries reported at this time.   The road has been closed to allow for a technical examination of the scene to be conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.  

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.  

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N22 in the Lissivigeen area between 3:45pm and 4:15pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
