Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Templeglantine, Co. Limerick in the early hours of Thursday, 18th December 2025.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a two-car collision on the N21 at Ballymurragh West that occurred at approximately 12:50am.
One of the drivers, a male in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Three teenagers (two female juveniles and an adult male) were brought to University Hospital Limerick and University Hospital Kerry for treatment of serious injuries. A male in his 20s was also brought to University Hospital Kerry with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road is currently closed pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the N21 between Abbeyfeale and Newcastle West between midnight and 1:00am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
