Witness Appeal – Discharge of Firearm, Coultry Terrace, Ballymun, Dublin 9 – 14th December 2025

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm in Ballymun, Dublin 9, on Sunday, 14th December 2025.

Shortly after 7:00pm, Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a shooting incident on Coultry Terrace, Ballymun, Dublin 9.

A male (aged in his 20s) sustained injuries during the incident and was transported by ambulance to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The scene has been preserved for forensic examination and investigations are ongoing.

A motor vehicle on Kilbarron Road, Dublin 5 was discovered on fire a short time later.

It is believed that these two incidents may be connected.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and were travelling in the area of Coultry Terrace, Dublin 9 and Kilbarron Road, Dublin 5 between 6:50pm and 8:10pm are asked to make this material available to investigating Gardaí.
