Seizure of €540,000 Worth of Cannabis, Newcastle West, Co Limerick, 30th December 2025

Gardaí in Co Limerick are investigating the discovery of suspected cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €540,000 near Newcastle West on 30th December 2025.

Members of the Divisional Drugs Unit based at Henry Street Garda Station seized the drugs at a residential property at Carraigkerry.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Investigations are ongoing.
