Operation Táirge: Assault and Arrest Capel Street, Dublin 1. 12th December, 2025.

As part of Operation Táirge, Gardaí attached to the Bridewell Garda station conducted a search operation on Wednesday morning 17th December, 2025 in relation to an alleged assault that occurred at a retail premises in Dublin 7 on Friday 12th December, 2025.

During the course of the search operation a man, aged in his 20s was arrested and detained at a Garda station in Dublin Region.  

He has since been charged and is due to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice on 13th January, 2026.

Investigations are ongoing.
